NFL Players Kneeling During National Anthem

Over a year ago former San-Francisco 49er's quarterback Colin Kaepernick decided to take a knee instead of standing with the rest of his team for "The Star-Spangled Banner".He took a knee to raise awareness of social injustice which included police brutality against African Americans. Fast forward to today and he is without a job in the NFL and filing a grievance against the NFL by accusing all 32 teams of colluding against him to keep him out of the league. He sent a ripple throughout the NFL and throughout the world by making this stand.

As of today players on all 32 teams are kneeling during the National Anthem or not coming out of the locker room as to not take a stand. There have even been protests outside of the NFL and in places such as high school players, college cheerleaders, and even a German soccer team. The NFL now states that it won't stop the players from kneeling because the league wants to help them in their political activism after remarks made by President Trump.

The players are not disrespecting the American Flag or the National Anthem they are just raising awareness to certain issues in the United States that don't get enough attention. Players are losing their jobs to promote what they believe in and it is all a protest for equal rights against the government and police brutality. This is an issue that won't go away without a final decision made by the NFL or the President himself.
